What is sustainable carpentry?
Sustainable carpentry is when we take on your project and complete it the most environmentally sustainable way that we can. This can range from something simple like using new more sustainable and safer caulking, all the way to replacing and repairing old carpentry as opposed to tearing down and building and entirely new thing.
Here at Kezar Lake Carpentry, we value our natural world and strive to work with it, not against it. Growing up in Sutton, Hunter has come to really appreciate the outdoors and feels very lucky to have so many amazing and accessible outdoor spaces right near his home(just think of Kezar Lake alone!). Because of this, Hunter is determined to change the ways that carpentry is done and employ more sustainable methods of practice.
Sustainable Suppliers
Kezar Lake Carpentry believes in supporting local business and therefore loves getting materials from the local hardware and lumber stores. These stores are a great option when it comes to wood and other forms of more sustainable building materials.
For more specific materials such as sustainable paints, caulking, sealants, etc. Kezar Lake Carpentry has turned to Green Building Supply and Vermont Natural Coatings and Techno Metal Post; all of whom are focused on producing environmentally friendly and much healthier products!
